The Tyrone Snyder Public Library
serves residents of Tyrone, Snyder Township, and nearby communities such as
Warriors Mark. Story hours, GED classes, best sellers, interlibrary loan,
computers with internet access, meeting facilities, genealogy resources,
local history materials, Summer Reading Program, and a variety of
informational programs throughout the year are just some of the services we
provide. We are dependent on the generosity of our patrons for survival.
State funding, which represents the bulk of our budget, is based on the
amount of funds donated locally. In short, how much money we get from the
state is directly related to how much money we can raise on our own
including donations from local agencies such the Tyrone Area School
District, Tyrone Borough, and Snyder Township.
In an effort to maintain the current
level of funding, we hold an annual fund drive to which patrons have
historically generously donated. We recognize that some of our patrons
would find it more convenient to donate via credit card, debit card, or Pay
Pal account. This secure method of donation is now available by clicking on
the link below. This provides a convenient way to spread out your donation
throughout the year.
